WhatsApp biometric authentication is also being added to the desktop

WhatsApp accounts can now be used securely from the desktop.  You can only use WhatsApp on the desktop after launching the WhatsApp on your mobile with face detection or fingerprint authentication.  This method has been added to make the WhatsApp account more secure.

Biometric authentication will be automatically enabled on iPhones with iOS 14.  This new security feature of WhatsApp can be used by turning on the biometric feature on Android devices.  Note that if the user's mobile does not have the biometric authentication feature, users will be able to use the WhatsApp on their desktop or browser as before (without authentication).

This method has been introduced to ensure proper user access to the app.  WhatsApp has ensured that no face detection, fingerprint or any personal information of the customer will be kept in their collection.  Users of suitable devices will be able to avail this facility in the coming weeks.
